Skip hire in
Callander.
Skips for household, business and building waste.

- Placement checked before a delivery is agreed
- One-off hire and paid exchanges available

Choose around the work and the space you have
A small kitchen or bathroom strip-out can create a dense mix of old fittings and tiles. A premises refit may produce larger amounts of light timber and packaging. Explain which job you have in mind so the skip is chosen around both the volume and the materials.

| Size | Typical use | Approx. L × W × H |
|---|---|---|
| 2 yard | Small clear-outs & garden jobs | 1.5m × 1.2m × 0.9m |
| 4 yard | Room clear-outs & bathroom refits | 2.1m × 1.5m × 0.9m |
| 6 yard | Renovations & bigger DIY jobs | 3.0m × 1.5m × 1.2m |
| 8 yard | Building work & bulky clear-outs | 3.6m × 1.8m × 1.4m |
| 14 yard | Bulky, lighter clear-out waste | 4.27m × 2.0m × 1.83m |
| 20 yard | Larger premises & site clear-outs | 5.59m × 2.65m × 1.17m |
| 40 yard | Large volumes of light waste | 6.0m × 2.4m × 2.68m |
Compare 2 to 8 yards for smaller household and renovation jobs. The 14 yard skip and 20 or 40 yard containers need suitable vehicle access and an agreed lighter load. For a street-front property in Callander, settle the position as well as the size before confirming a hire.
Measurements vary between skips. The lorry needs extra room, and bag or volume estimates do not set a weight allowance.

Callander road placement needs the exact street
Callander’s Main Street is on the A84, and parts of the town have buildings close to the pavement. Do not assume an empty space outside the door can hold a skip. Tell us whether you have private ground, shared access or a position on the public road.
- Main Street or a side roadThe A84 is a trunk road; its authority differs from local council roads.
- Space for daily useKeep entrances, pedestrian routes and business access open during the work.
- Delivery through collectionHave someone ready to identify the agreed spot and keep the lorry’s return route clear.
Road permission in Callander
The responsible roads authority must approve any public-road position. National Park planning status does not replace road permission. Give us the address before relying on a delivery date.
Stirling Council skip guidanceFor the A84, check the Transport Scotland trunk-road information and the responsible operator.
A clear quote for your property and project
Your postcode and access help us confirm delivery arrangements. Add the waste type, amount and expected duration so the quote covers the hire you need. Confirm the total including VAT, any road permission and longer hire before booking; availability is checked for your date.
We deliver to the agreed position. You fill the skip, then call to arrange collection.
Refit rubbish needs an agreed load
For a home, holiday property or business refit, separate reusable items before the strip-out begins. The remaining timber, cardboard and agreed general rubbish can then be planned as a skip load instead of a mixed pile with restricted items hidden inside.
- Short wooden units and agreed household items
- Packaging from new fittings and supplies
- Building rubble only with the weight allowance agreed
Carpets, mattresses and upholstered furniture need to be mentioned before hire. Keep old electrical appliances and liquid products apart. The person doing the work should know the restrictions before anyone starts filling the skip.
Keep asbestos, paint, oils, fuels, batteries, gas cylinders and electrical items out of a general waste skip. Agree plasterboard, mattresses and carpets separately.

Can you leave a skip on the A84 outside my property?
That needs a location-specific assessment and the correct roads-authority permission. The A84 is a trunk route. We cannot treat an available parking space as an approved skip position.
Will visitor parking be enough space for delivery?
A parking space may not belong to you or provide enough room for the lorry. Explain the ownership, access and any restrictions. Delivery needs an agreed safe position, not just a space that looks empty.
Can I plan a skip around a shop or accommodation refit?
Yes, call with the work dates, waste and access arrangements. We can discuss the hire, but do not promise a particular delivery time or availability until it is confirmed for your booking.
